Do you podcast? Please share your tips for new podcasters. I'll be launching one in the near future with some friends, talking about DMing/GMing, representation in gaming, and writing your own gaming material.

@craigmaloney Thanks! Much appreciated. We're going to be using the public library's podcasting and recording studio, and if we launch it as an official library podcast they'll even handle the editing. That will take care of most of the tech needs. It's pretty well kitted out.

@willhopkins @craigmaloney Your public library has a recording studio?!?

(hashtag jealous)

@jalefkowit @craigmaloney Yeah! The Ann Arbor District Library is BALLER. They've got one of the best unconventional collections in the country. You can borrow art, records, and tools. There's even a machine shop with 3D printers, sewing machines, and CNC routers.

@craigmaloney @jalefkowit I taught my classmates to solder there earlier this year, and I'm working on my sewing. Add that to the UM video game collection and Ann Arbor is nerd heaven.

@willhopkins @jalefkowit (I donated a few classic consoles and games to the UMCVGA) ;)

@craigmaloney @jalefkowit That's so cool! Which ones? If you're local, we should do a Mastodon users meetup at some point.

@craigmaloney You, me, and @lmorchard (that I know of). I'll see about putting something together, maybe at Cultivate in Ypsi, if you're willing to travel out. They're a great community-oriented coffee shop and brewery, and put their profits into hunger relief in the county.

Les Orchard ✅🕹️🔧🐱🐰 @lmorchard

@craigmaloney I'm notably elusive otherwise :) But I could emerge from my cave @willhopkins

@lmorchard @willhopkins BTW: Apparently we put Coffee House Coders Royal Oak on Meetup (meetup.com/Coffee-House-Coders) so if you want to join and boost our numbers...

😼

@craigmaloney @lmorchard That's pretty cool, I'll have to check it out at some point. I'm also fairly elusive and prone to planning things I fail to follow through on, but I'd love some coding companionship. Little light on that at work.

@willhopkins @lmorchard I'm usually there every week so if you feel up to making the trek you should have some companionship. :)

(Hopefully putting it on meetup won't attract the MLM folks though. Buh. )
