Haven't played Elite Dangerous in a long while. Just fired it up again and remembered I was on my way to the black hole at Cygnus X-1. Just finished that trip.
Teenage Rush fan me would be proud of adult Rush fan me. https://toot.lmorchard.com/media/TZshHECHVaSFEAIj-Q4
It's not super awesome yet, but my #gamedev in #rustlang has progressed to a space ship that shoots bullets that make janky falling asteroids disappear. https://toot.lmorchard.com/media/TEvazBsPGuCKKfWRI5w
Oh hey, I made some things move on the screen with Rust + ggez + specs
So I got my Planet Money space program patch today and it is amazing
I haven't been posting here lately, but I feel compelled to inform you of this:
This kitten just sprinted down very noisily from somewhere in the attic, down the stairs, across the house, finally to jump onto my chest and immediately curl up purring.
Still have this disco Star Wars album by Meco from when I was a kid and it tickles me to play it https://toot.lmorchard.com/media/wha63_sUdMhOhLnq0C4
How many arcades had kittens in them, you know for that extra bit of challenge on the old Centipede?
Pahdray, my new priest, is fabulous. https://toot.lmorchard.com/media/uzAz6rTuIPGVz1JPN9M
My fursona is a browser https://toot.lmorchard.com/media/_KrIDmQT0xp8gJFuEE0
I have discovered that Cosmo kitten's belly is ticklish. He will purr and run away from me into another room if I pet him there. This is now what I do to keep him from eating my breakfast. https://toot.lmorchard.com/media/NLxl9wJWYVwRmrfBW5M
Spotify is really testing me here... https://toot.lmorchard.com/media/KEDtHsboVFGz6kqPpoE
Doesn't look like much, but the web server on my pumpkin now serves up a web page with a remote control I can use to make it do stuff from my phone through the magic of WebSockets. Track pad on the right moves the eyes, buttons for blink & talk.
Pumpkin now has fangs, since a column of LEDs went dark. Also quietly gibbers at random https://toot.lmorchard.com/media/SvTuvpsDnewWSoldFRQ
The pumpkin has a mouth installed, now. Also, a USB port and an NES controller port. Thoroughly abused the hot glue gun and Dremel and gaffer tape, but I'm not too sad about it

Pumpkin kind of has a mouth, now, but it's in the wrong place https://toot.lmorchard.com/media/Ae7ye6nMHuT9ZjpDGGU
So I added some more LEDs and ported my pumpkin code over to an ESP8266. Things are weird now https://toot.lmorchard.com/media/1eU025lS6wsFQkfMsjk
TBS is playing Back to the Future in reverse. Why you do this?
The napping is getting real serious in this house. #cats
A little soldering, a little hot glue, and the pumpkin is alive... ALIVE!
Reviving & reassembling my old NES gamepad controlled, LED eyed pumpkin for #spoopy times. Thinking about adding an LED mouth and switching to an ESP8266 for wifi control from my phone. Trying to upload a little video, but Mastodon seems not to like it.
